Five students who were alleged to have beaten a restaurant waiter to death have been arrested by the police.

The incident occurred last night followed by a heated argument between the accused students and the restaurant staff of New Green restaurant, situated at Udaipur -Ahmadabad highway.

As per police, the group of boys came to the restaurant for dinner. Before leaving, they involved in an argument with the restaurant manager over payment which soon turned into a brawl. The students smashed a waiter, Ramesh Gameti, resident of Nathdwara and fled from the scene. Ramesh was taken to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Upon the information received by the police, they launched a manhunt and arrested the five accused students within the next few hours.

During initial interrogation, the accused students informed that they are students and two of them are presently studying in Pune, two are pursuing M.B.A and one is a student of C.S final year.

All the accused are detained under the charges of murder and are kept for further questioning. The 2 cars that were used by the accused to flee from the site have also been seized by the police.
