An elderly woman was stabbed by another woman today at Pratap Nagar area. The victim, 70-year-old Anjana w/o Hariram Mulchandani received injuries on her face due to the attack.

The accused woman, identified as Komal, resident of Housing Board colony is absconding since she brutally attacked Anjana when she allegedly denied giving her money. Police has also found the knife used by Komal lying outside Anjana’s residence.

According to Anjana, the accused woman came to her house a few days back for some work. Today she came and demanded Rs.2000 as debt but Anjana refused. “Annoyed by my refusal, she attacked me with a knife and ran away”, says Anjana who is recovering from the gruesome attack.

Due to severe injuries, the elderly woman victim received 17 stitches.
