A two-day old decomposed body of a 75 year old woman was found lying in her hut with both her hands and feet cut off at Sakroda village. Heavy police force including SP Ajaypal Lamba, AdSP, DySP and SHOs rushed to the scene.

The victim lady was identified as Uddi Bai w/o Goverdhan Lal Lohar with both her feet cut off with an intention to steal the traditional silver anklets worn by her. Prima facie it seems to be a case of murder for loot. The woman also seemed to have one of her hands cut off and severe cuts on her face as well, informed SP Lamba.

In the initial investigation it was found that Uddi Bai was seen 2 days ago by the neighbors and her absence made them suspicious. A mother of 5 children, she used to stay amid the farms separately from the family.

Later in the evening, the forensic team with dog squad reached the scene and a case of murder was lodged against unknown accused.

This is a matter of concern as a similar case had happened few days ago in which an elderly woman was targeted similarly in a small village of Dabok where she was also found with her feet cut off and silver jewelry stolen.
