Rupees Twenty Five Lac worth illegal liquor was seized by the Dabok Police today evening.

In an operation carried out by the SP, Udaipur subsequent to receiving information from reliable sources, Dabok Police team reached a Petrol Pump on the Dabok Mavli Highway, just after the Toll Booth.

The driver and spotter of the truck attempted to escape but their action was cut short by the Police team who managed to nab them. On searching the truck, it was found that over 780 Cartons of Liquor were hidden underneath boxes fruit (suspected to be Oranges).

Further, the presence of a Police Constable near the truck from where it was seized, was found to be suspicious. Though no material information is available on the role of the Constable OR the reason of his presence at the said location, his presence there is still being investigated.

The Constable, who was waiting near the truck in a car, was found to be from the team at Sadar Police Station, Chittorgarh. He is being questioned about the truck though. This information was provided byDySPJaswant Singh.

C.I Jitendra Singh Anchalia informed that the operation was carried out under the directions of the S.P. The spotter who was arrested while fleeing from the spot was identified as Pawan Kumar Choudahry resident of Balicha.

Police in its initial interrogation got to know that the Spotter already ha sa few cases registered on his name at Semari police station for carrying illegal liquor.
