8 Child Laborers rescued from Pratap Nagar
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Udaipur Police Department rescued 8 children on Wednesday who were found working and were sent to the AHT unit’s office. A case has been registered against all the owners of the restaurants where the kids used to work.
The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit of Udaipur Police Department rescued 8 children on Wednesday who were found working and were sent to the AHT unit’s office. A case has been registered against all the owners of the restaurants where the kids used to work.
Unit in charge Ratan Chawla informed that taking a step against child trafficking and forced labor, the team on Wednesday initiated a drive in two different parts of the city and rescued 8 children aged between 9 to 14 years.
The police team at first raided the Pratap Nagar area and rescued 4 children working at a restaurant Annapurna Bhojanalaya. The team raided other food houses namely Laxmi Bhojanalaya and Mahadev Bhojanalaya and rescued 4 children from there, informed Chawla.
During investigation it was found that the children were from Bheem, Aseen and Jhadol Falsia who were working for Rs. 700 to Rs. 1000 per month. As per the police, all the rescued kids were sent to shelter house and their parents were informed.
