A 9-year-old girl was raped by a 55 year old man at Udaipur’s Saira area today. The accused was caught by the villagers and handed over to the police. The victim girl’s condition is said to be critical and is admitted in Udaipur’s MB Hospital.

According to sources, the incident took place when the victim girl was playing outside her home. Seeing her alone, the accused, Kalu Singh who is also neighbor of the victim, raped her.

Hearing the girl’s cry, a small boy of the village saw the incident and shouted for help. Soon villagers came for the rescue and caught the accused while he was trying to flee.

The accused was thrashed by the people and handed over to the police. The victim girl was first rushed to Saira Hospital but due to excessive bleeding, she was referred to MB Hospital, Udaipur.
