Absconding accused of day light Loot arrested by Police
Absconding criminal since last 2 years in connection of gold loot, Nandu Bhatu alias Nandu Choudhary of Pratap Nagar area was arrested by the Goverdhan Vilas police on 17th May
Absconding criminal since last 2 years in connection of gold loot, Nandu Bhatu alias Nandu Choudhary of Pratap Nagar area was arrested by the Goverdhan Vilas police on 17th May from Bus Stand on the information of the sources. He was produced in court on Monday and was taken under 5 days of Police custody remand.
Other than Nandu, 8 other accused Karan Singh, Jitendra Kumar, Motiram, Lalit Soni, Dulatram Mewara, Suleman, Kamlesh and Chel Singh had been arrested by the police till now in relation to the loot and they also recovered the robbed gold ornaments from them. Police got tipoff that the absconding accused Nandu was coming to Udaipur and would cross Udiapol area within few minutes. The police reacted and barricaded that area after which the criminal was caught.
The Goverdhan Vilas Police informed that Nandu was one of the accused involved in the day light loot at Goverdhan Vilas area which occurred in 2013. On that day of crime 6-7 car borne accused had targeted 2 employees of a local courier company and robbed a consignment of gold ornaments from the victim while he was waiting for a bus.
The accused had abducted both victims Mansharam and Dinesh Prajapat in their car along with the ornaments and later fled leaving the victims behind with ornaments. The police was informed by the 2 other boys who has seen the whole scene.
Police is now interrogating the accused further about the crime and also about his role in whole scene of abduction and loot occurred in January 2013.
