23 days after the daylight firing incident at a garment store, that killed one person and injured other, police arrested two absconding accused yesterday from Paduna Toll Plaza, near Village Tidi.

Dalpat Singh Dulawat (30) and Chanchal Khamesra (36) were on run since the murder of Praveen Paliwal on 16th March. Both of them including other two accused fired on Praveen Paliwal and his friend when they were shopping in a garment shop at Shastri Circle.

All key accused including Sahil, Karan and the mastermind of the murder Naresh Harijan were arrested by the police previously.

According to the police, they received information that both Dalapt and Chanchal were waiting for their associates at Paduna Toll Plaza. The police team headed by Narpat Singh, SHO Goverdhan Vilas Police and officials of special wing raided the place and arrested both.

Police informed that Dalpat Singh fired on Praveen Paliwal while Chanchal was waiting in car outside the shop.

After attacking on Praveen all the accused went to Jagat to meet Naresh Harijan and from there, they dispersed in two groups. Dalpat and Chanchal kept changing their locations from one city to other. During their escape they stayed in Ahmedabad, Mumbai and Chennai. Finally, when they were short of cash, they returned to Udaipur and got arrested.

As per police, Dalpat Singh is resident of Kumharo ka Muhalla, Devali while Chanchal is from Santosh Nagar, Gayriavas.

“Both have strong criminal backgrounds and many cases are registered against them at various police stations of the city,” said SHO.

During investigation, few more names came to light and police is expecting more arrests in Praveen’s murder.
