ACB arrests Bank Manager for taking bribe

Manager of Baroda Gramin Bank, Akola (Chittorgarh) was arrested for taking Rs.5,000 bribe from an account holder. This bribe was demanded by the Manager in return for increasing the limit on the Kisan Credit Card of the complainant Bhagwanlal Jat.

Manager of Baroda Gramin Bank, Akola (Chittorgarh) was arrested for taking Rs.5,000 bribe from an account holder.  This bribe was demanded by the Manager in return for increasing the limit on the Kisan Credit Card of the complainant Bhagwanlal Jat.

Special unit of ACB team from Udaipur arrested the accused Mukesh Sharma last night from his house at Akola, Chittorgarh and the bribe amount was seized.

As per the ACB, Bhagwanlal approached then when the Bank Manager demanded Rs.10000 to increase his Credit Card limit from 2.5 Lakh to 5 Lakh rupees.  After negotiation, the bribe amount was finalized to Rs. 5,000.

Umesh Ojha (Ad S.P ACB) informed that following verification of the case, ACB team laid a trap to arrest the accused red handed.  On Thursday evening, the team raided Mukesh Sharma’s house while he was taking the bribe.
