A Patwari based in Adinda has been caught red handed by Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) Udaipur, while accepting bribe of Rs. 2500 in return of a land issue. The accused Patwari Mahendra Khatik is brought to Udaipur and will be presented before court.

According to ACB officials, applicants Pratap Singh and Karan Singh informed ACB that the patwari is demanding Rs. 3000 for marking a 1 Bigha Land. Acting upon the complaint, ACB verified the information and laid the trap to arrest the accused.

During negotiation, Rs. 2500 was decided as final amount. Today morning, when Pratap Singh and Karan Singh were handing over the amount to Patwari, team of ACB officials grabbed the accused red handed and detained him.

The land was purchased by the applicants in the name of their wives and had applied for its marking after paying the requisite fee of Rs. 50 at the Tehsildar’s office.

According to Rajendra Prasad Goyal, Tehsildar of Vallabh Nagar, he had already instructed Mahendra Khatik to carry out the needful, but when the applicants went to the Patvari, he demanded bribe.
