ACB Catches Roadways Employee for Bribery

A Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation employee was arrested today by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for taking bribe.

A Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation employee was arrested today by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for taking bribe.

Bal Krishna Suhalka (circled in the photo above), employed as a Junior Accountant in Roadways was arrested by the ACB while he was taking bribe from a person named Hukmichand Gurjar who owns an e-Mitra center at the Udiapol Bus Stand. According to Gurjar, Suhalka demanded bribe money to permit him to do additional work of courier service at his counter.

Gurjar was allotted the counter by the Roadways authority through tendering where he provided services like E- Mitra, Stamps, Photocopy and any other computer related work against a monthly rent of Rs. 5,151

Hukmichand Gurjar wanted to do additional work of offering courier services to his clients and for that he needed to take permission from Suhalka as he was supervising the Department of Tender allotments and permissions.

Gurjar informed ACB that Suhalka had demanded Rs.5000 as bribe from him to start the courier service.

ACB authenticated the allegation and laid the trap today and Suhalka was arrested red handed from Udiapol bus stand with the bribe money.

According to Ad. S.P. ACB Rajendra Prasad Goyal, Bal Krishna Suhalka is working in Roadways since 1986.

The ACB team consisted of Sunder Lal Soni, C.I, Akhtar Khan, Hemant Singh, Jitendra Sanadiya, Ram Awatar, Dinesh and Danish Khan. The team has also executed a house search of the accused.
