The Anti Corruption Bureau of Udaipur seized the godown of Rajasthan Pathya Pustika Mandal on Wednesday night after finding irregularities in its working. The team found that around 4000 books were not in stock that was to be issued to the schools, free of cost. The stock maintenance register was also confiscated by the ACB team.

The ACB Team led by Ad SP Brijesh Soni rushed to the Mandal’s office at Sector 5, Hiran Magri on Wednesday night following a complaint of irregularities in the activities. Bureau also received the information that the Mandal was selling books in the marketplace instead of allotting them to schools for free.

During the raid, the stock register showed the deficiency of 4000 books in the stock. Upon suspicion, the Mandal godown has been seized by the team.

However, the investigation of the matter is still on and will continue on Thursday in which various things will be checked and verified.
