Accused arrested with arms, remanded under Judicial Custody

A trio of accused who were arrested by the Surajpol police on 30th December with country made pistol and live bullets were remanded to Judicial Custody by the court on Wednesday. The trio was nabbed by the police team in a raid from Kheradiwada area acting upon the information of sources.

 

A trio of accused who were arrested by the Surajpol police on 30th December with country made pistol and live bullets were remanded to Judicial Custody by the court on Wednesday. The trio was nabbed by the police team in a raid from Kheradiwada area acting upon the information of sources.

The accused identified as Mohammad Irfaan alias Salman (19), Nizam (19) and Suhel (19), residents of Kheradiwada and Anjuman Chowk area were nabbed by the police in a raid at Rangeela Bheruji temple situated at Kheradiwada area of the city at around 7 in the evening.

All were found with one country made pistol and 3 live bullets. At first they tried to escape from the scene but were rounded up and arrested. The arrested were booked under various sections of arms and were rushed to the police station for further interrogation, said SHO Surajpol police station, Ramesh Kumar.

SHO also added that all the weapons were seized and further interrogation about the reason of possessing the weapons and from where they got it is still going on. The trio accused were produced in court from where they were remanded under Judicial custody by the court, SHO added.
