A case of eve teasing in the premises of the District Court was reported today afternoon. This incident occurred when a victim of Acid attack had gone to the District Court in relation to the attack.

Shaloo Jain resident of 31, City Station road who runs a dry cleaning shop with her husband near her house was a victim of acid attack in an incident that took place in October 2009.

She had sustained 60% burns and had then lodged a case against Kailash Rao and Shiv Lal Menaria. The case has been under consideration since then and a personal guard had been provided to her.

Today, when both the parties to the case were in Court in relation to the case, Shaloo reported that one of the accused approached her and started teasing and misbehaving with her. The soft approach turned heated and the accused started shouting at her and tried to man handle her, which was prevented when her personal guard intervened.

Immediately the police was informed by Shaloo’s guard and the C.I Bhopalpura, Gyanendra Singh rushed to the scene and handled the situation there, as per police. Shaloo has reported the case against the accused and has demanded strict legal action against him.

The victim has further reported that this is not the first time that the accused has behaved in such a manner with her, saying that many a times earlier he has threatened her and has asked her to withdraw the case. The Police is looking into the matter to understand as to what extent the accusations are true.
