In the joint operation conducted by the Narcotics Department of three districts viz Udaipur, Chittorgarh and Kota, 205kg of afeem was seized from a car passing through Gogunda Toll Naka yesterday.

Four people including two men and two women were arrested with the consignment of illicit drug.

Considering it as one of the biggest catch, the value of the drug is estimated to be around Rs.1 Crore. In the initial interrogation, the accused informed that they were taking drugs to Sanchor City in Jhalore District.

Vijay Singh Meena, Superintendent of Narcotics Department informed, “After receiving tip from an informer, the team led barricading at Gogunda-Pindwara road. Upon the checking suspects’ car, 11 packets containing 205kg afeem was found.”

Meena said, “The accused Omprakash Sharma, Satyanarayan Sharma, Sulachana Sharma and her daughter Vandana are arrested.”

Satyanarayan is sent to police remand till 7^th June, while the other three accused are sent to jail.
