Giving lift to strangers proved life threatening for Mahesh Bhai Thakur, resident of Ahmedabad who was robbed by four accused whom he gave lift from Eklingpura.

The accused threatened the victim on knife point and robbed thousand of rupees cash, a mobile phone and the car before leaving the victim in an abandoned area of Kevde ki Naal.

The incident took place after midnight yesterday when Mahesh Bhai was returning to Ahmedabad after visiting Shrinathji Mandir. On his way, four people stopped him and asked for lift. Mahesh agreed and all of them proceeded further.

After a while, one of the accused threatened Mahesh with knife and asked him to sit in the back seat, while one of the accused drove towards Kevde ki Naal.

There they robbed Mahesh, tied him with rope and fled away in his car. Coincidentally, Hiran Magri Police was patrolling the area and rescued Mahesh.

Police has launched man hunt for the accused.
