Airport security increased after threatening call by suspect demanding release of Asaram Bapu

The accused caller warned to stop all flights of Air India throughout country if the self proclaimed saint Asaram Bapu is not release from Jail within 15 days. Asaram is arrested and lodged in Jodhpur Jail with charges of rape and sexual assault.
In the initial investigation, police identified the registration detail of SIM card used by the caller. The SIM is registered in the name of Dharmendra Kumar, resident of Rani Kheda (Lal Ganj) near Raibareli, U.P.
The threatening call was received by Assistant Manager, Saroj Meena of the Air Traffic Control Department of Dabok Airport at around 8 in the morning.
“She immediately informed the higher authorities of the Airport about it. Soon the Authorities informed the officials of Police Department,” said Ad S.P, Rural Rewant Dan.
Ad. S.P added, “Udaipur police is also taking help of Uttar Pradesh police to trace the accused. Meanwhile, security of airport has been increased.”
An FIR is lodged at Dabok police station by the OSD Vinay Dahema against the unknown accused.
“There are many supporters of Asaram Bapu across the country. The accused could be one of them but we cannot say anything more till the investigation ends,” said Ad.S.P.
