Displaying extreme bravery and alertness, a citizen motorcyclist caught a chain snatcher. The two accused were fleeing after snatching a gold chain from a woman at Sarv Ritu Vilas area.

The incident occurred with 24-year-old Rajni Gangawat who was walking with her mother in law when two people on a motorcycle approached towards them and snatched gold chain from Rajni weighing 1.5 tola.

Fortunately, Adarsh Mehta (left side in photo above) was passing through the same road and witnessed the incident. He immediately started following the accused. While reaching Nara Khara, Mehta’s bike hit the accuser’s bike and consecutively they fell.

Seeing the chase, local shopkeepers and passerby got hold of one of the accused while other managed to escape. The accused was thrashed by the locals and handed over to police. Adarsh Mehta was congratulated by everyone for his courage.

During interrogation, police identified the accused as Hemendra alias Hemu Teli. Police is trying to get more details about the other accused and their past involvement in crime.
