Ambamata police arrested two accused for keeping an illegal pistol and 2 live bullets in their possession on Thursday evening during a barricading launched at Mullatalai circle.

The accused Amar Chand and Sunil alias Bunty, residents of Gandhi nagar were apprehended by the cops while they were towards Mullatalai on their bike. The SHO Jitendra Anchaliya upon receiving the tip off instructed his team to launch a barricade at the circle.

As per the police, after seeing them, the accused tried to escape and after a while of chasing, they were caught. They held a country made pistol and two live bullets in their possession which was seized.

After interrogation, the accused revealed of buying the weapon and bullets from Pradeep Harijan of Jawat (MP) with an intention to take revenge from someone. Both the accused were booked under various sections of the Arms Act.
