The Ambamata Police Station tonight registered a case of attempted rape with a minor.

In what is reported to be a shocking incident, a Nine year old girl was found by someone on the road, having sustained a few injuries.  The girl was taken to the police station, where she complained of the accused treating her in a “bad way” for the last two days.

On the girl’s complain, the accused who is alleged to be the boyfriend of victim’s mother, was arrested by the Ambamata Police.  The accused, a resident of Mustaan Baba Colony and an auto-rickshaw driver by profession, was alleged to be having a four year relationship with the girl’s mother, who works as a labor and was staying with the victim’s family for the last six months, since the girl’s father died.

The victim alleged that the incident had been going on for two days, after the mother used to leave for home for her daily labor work.

On taking the victim to the MB Hospital for a check-up, the Police have confirmed that there is no evidence from the medical examination of a rape or an attempt to rape, but the Police are still contemplating a case of alleged attempt to rape, on the witness of the victim girl.
