Omprakash Vyas (71), a retired hotel employee has been robbed of Rs.5000/- while commuting in a local transport viz. auto rickshaw. The mishap came to light when he checked his pocket after reaching bank to deposit the money. The incident occurred today afternoon at around 1:30 while he was travelling in an auto from Surajpol to Chetak Circle. According to Omprakash Vyas, he was sitting at the corner of front side of auto and the person sitting next to him could be the thief, he also alleged that the man he suspects was accomplice of the auto driver. However, Omprakash neither know the number of auto nor can he recognize the suspects. The case is much similar to one of the incident that took place on 3 March where a senior citizen was pick pocketed in the same manner.( news here) Omprakash Vyas is a retired Manager of Hotel Anand Bhawan and resides at Atshans Complex, Keshav Nagar. He informed U.T that he was on his way to S.B.B.J Bank, Chetak Branch in an auto that he took from Surajpole. “After reaching the bank, he discovered that there was a cut in his pocket and he had lost an amount of Rs.5000,” said Vyas. He immediately rushed to Hathipole Police Station and lodged FIR of the incident.
