Another news of theft of sandalwood trees was reported from the premises of All India Radio (Akashwani) on Wednesday night, near Chetak Circle. A case has been lodged and investigation has been started, as per the police.

Iftikar Ahmed, a Senior officer of AIR reported the theft of the sandalwood trees that were cut within the premises of the AIR office. The incident came to light on Thursday morning when one of the staff members reached the office.

This is the second theft case of the sandalwood trees reported at the Hathipol police station area. Previously, a similar theft was reported on Tuesday night from Swaroop sagar area.
