An Assistant Sub Inspector has been caught red handed by a team of the Anti Corruption Bureau. The incident is reported to have happened at the Bhinder Police Station, where the ASI was caught accepting a bribe of Rs. 11,500 by a special team of the ACB. The SHO who was also a party to the bribery is on the run. Shyam Lal Gurjar, resident of Bhinder had complained to the ACB that the SHO Bhinder, Subhash Jhangir was demanding a bribe of Rs. 16,000 for not including Shyam’s name in a case registered by his neighbour against him at the Bhinder police station, as per AdSP, Prasan Kamesra of the ACB. According to Khamesra, Shyam informed that the amount was negotiated at Rs. 11,500 on March 13. The applicant then contacted the ACB, who then launched the investigation, where they concluded that the SHO was actually demanding the bribe. At 9 pm on March 14, when the applicant reached the Bhinder police station with the cash, Sudhir Jhangir, SHO told the applicant on mobile that he was not there at the police station and that Shyam should hand over the cash of Rs. 11,500 to Manohar Lal, ASI. When the ASI accepted the money from Shyam, it was at that moment when the ACB special team caught the ASI with the cash, while the SHO is on the run since then.
