An auto rickshaw driver was arrested for stealing a gold necklace from Shanimaharaj Temple situated at Loha Bazar on 29th Jan.

The accused Giriaj Acharya, resident of Sunderwas confessed of stealing the jewelry while the priest was out of the temple. He also revealed the name of his accomplice Veniram who was recently arrested by Ambamata Police in another criminal offence.

Hathipol Police led the investigation and rounded up several suspects. During interrogation, names of Giriraj and Veniram came up as key suspects. After days of close watch, Police succeeded in arrested Giriraj on 8^th Feb.
