Auto rickshaw Driver robs Passenger

In a theft case registered yesterday, an auto rickshaw driver allegedly stole Rs.10,000 cash and other important documents of a passenger. The incidence took place near Thokar Chauraha.

 

In a theft case registered yesterday, an auto rickshaw driver allegedly stole Rs.10,000 cash and other important documents of a passenger. The incidence took place near Thokar Chauraha.

The victim, Verdi Chand of Nimbaheda, came to Udaipur yesterday for a medical check-up with cash Rs. 10,000 in his wallet. He took the auto rickshaw from Rana Pratap Railway Station, in which the driver made him sit near him. After driving few meters away from railway station, victim asked the driver to drive him towards St. Teresa hospital. The driver refused and dropped him on the spot, as per police.

The victim took another auto rickshaw but he realized that his wallet was missing and he doubted that it was stolen by the former rickshaw driver.

Verdi immediately rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint against the rickshaw driver.

Police has started search for the accused on the basis of clues provided by the victim.
