Mohd. Azam, who has been in Police custody for two days , has accepted another reference of extortion case against him. He accepted to have taken Rs. 10 lakh extortion from Motilal Dangi after threatening him for life.

According to the Police, after the gunfire on BJP (City) General Secretary Motilal Dangi on 15th June, Azam called him and threatened him to pay the amount. Motilal Dangi then gave Rs. 10 lakh as ransom to Mohd. Azam.

In the gunfire incident, two bullets were fired on Motilal Dangi’s BMW car while he was on his way to Sagas Ji Bawji temple in Sarvritu Villas on 15^thJune, 2012.

Interestingly, before getting arrested, Azam came to Udaipur City on three separate occasions.

It seems like the Police has been able to get some good output of this two day PC remand of Mohd. Azam. But all these statements certainly raise a question that how did he operate so smoothly sitting miles away from the city? And who knows what else he was planning to execute apart from these registered cases.
