Mohammad Azam accepted directing his nephew Danish to open air fire at Delhi Gate on 25^th September; the firing was done just to frighten a sweet shop owner.

Azam told this to Dhanmandi Police after he was taken into custody for interrogation; he has now been sent back to jail.

According to the information, Danish, who is related to and is believed to be closely associated with Azam had fired one round in front of the Bhola Mishtan Bhandar, a famous sweet shop located just opposite the Delhi Gate police control room on the evening of 25^th September. The incident build pressure over the police administration and Danish was arrested and detained by the police later the same day.
