After two days of Police remand, Azam was presented today in the court where, looking at the gravity of crimes he did, court has extended another two days of his Police remand.

During the two days of Police remand, Azam confessed threatening a real estate businessman, Shantilal and extorting money from BJP (City) General Secretary, Motilal Dangi. Last night, police was able to get the name of his accomplice, who helped Azam in transferring the extorted money.

According to police, Sher Singh r/o Bedwas, was the person who collected the extortion money from the victims and transferred it to Azam. Sher Singh has a prior police record and was already in central jail. Today, police took Sher Singh out on a production warrant and presented him in the court.

After listening to Police’s reasons, court extended Police custody for Azam and sent Sher Singh on a two days of Judicial Custody.
