Surajpol police arrested a bike thief today and recovered a stolen bike from him.

Accused Jitendra Singh (19) was nabbed from Surajpol area. When asked about papers of the bike, he was not able to provide a satisfactory answer. After that, he was detained and taken to police station where he confessed stealing the bike from Vardhman Mahaveer Open University’s office.
Later, the bike was seized and the accused was booked for stealing it, as informed by SHO Surajpol Police Station, Ramesh Kumar.
The victim, Magan Lal, had lodged a complaint about his missing bike, upon which today the police found a similar bike with different number plates from Jitendra Singh.
In initial interrogation, the accused revealed that he was staying at Champa lal Dharmshala with his father and he used to see the victim coming on his bike to his office situated near Dharmshala. Later he decided to steal it and changed its number plates, as informed by police.
