A body of an unidentified woman was found in the 60 feet deep valley of Chirwa today. The dead body had multiple injuries and a piece of cloth was found tightly wrapped around the neck. Prima facie, it appears to be a case of murder post which the body might have been dumped in the valley.

According to police, the victim, aged around forty, appeared to be a villager was found dead by some people who informed the police. Upon examination, it was found that the body has multiple wounds and apparently the lady was strangled to death.

Police is trying to identify the victim. The body has been kept in mortuary.
