Body of an unidentified woman was found by Gogunda Police today near Ghasiyar Village. Prima Facie, police is considering it a case of rape and murder. The injured body is shifted to Community Health Center, Gogunda and investigation has started.

According to Hanuman Prasad, Ad.S.P (Police Headquarter), a team of police rushed to the spot after getting information of a dead body lying under the bushes.

“The head of the victim was severally damaged and appeared to be crushed with heavy object, which indicates murder, while the condition of her body shows that she might have been sexually abused too,” said Hanuman Prasad.

A team of Forensic also reached the spot and collected evidences. During the initial investigation, police came to know that the victim woman was last seen with a man at the same spot last night.

Police is also trying to identify the victim so that relatives can be informed about the mishap.

Ad.S.P said that the postmortem report will help getting more details which could lead to further investigation.

update: According to police, the woman’s age is around 22 year old. She was seen in semi conscious state with a man last night.
