The key accused of the Rs. 14 Lac burglary from a jewelry shop at Dabok in Sept 2012 has been arrested by Rajsamand Police and brought to Udaipur under production warrant.
Anand Naidu, resident of Delhi’s Bheemrao Ambedkar Colony was first arrested by Rajsamand Police under charges of theft; Naidu, in police interrogation confessed of looting Rs.14 Lac worth of jewelry from a jewelry shop at Dabok.
In the case, three of the accused had been already arrested, only the main accused Anand was absconding since a long time. At Rajsamand, when Anand revealed the case, Udaipur police was contacted by the Rajsamand police and the accused was brought to Dabok police where the initial interrogation begun.
The Incidence
On the night of 01/09/12 when the owner of Maha Laxmi Jewelers was returning to his house carrying all the jewelry with him in a bag, suddenly a Hyundai Accent car blocked his way, a minor boy snatched the bag full of jewelry from him and fled in the car.
Few days after the incident, the three accused under this case were arrested, but all of them were minor and the main accused, who was driving the car was on the run, the report of theft was registered at the Dabok Police Station.
