Bus Conductor shot dead by Unknown Assailant
Tension gripped Salumbar area on Friday morning after an unidentified man opened fire on a conductor of a private bus resulting in his death. The cops were informed by the driver and later his body was taken for postmortem.

The victim Sohan Lal Meena (30) of Gamdi village was targeted by the accused on Friday morning at around 4.30 AM near his village Gamdi while he was riding in the bus with passengers. He got off the bus after seeing the road barricaded with big stones. As soon as he began to remove the stones, an unknown accused opened fire on him and sustained severe injuries on his body but succumbed to them after few minutes.
The shocked driver and the passengers informed the police about the mishap. Few minutes to the incidence, villagers, his relatives and other people gathered to the scene, said Police Station In Charge Ved Prakash.
During the preliminary investigation, police learnt that the victim used to work as a conductor for a travel agency who used to travel in the bus on the route of Jagat to Ahmedabad. The investigation of the mysterious attack on the conductor is still on, as per Salumber police station in charge.
