After a raid executed at a hotel situated on National Highway 8, one call girl and 2 hotel staff members were arrested by the police on Saturday. All three were booked under various sections of Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act.

In the initial investigation it was found that the hotel manager Jagdish Patel (50) of Sagwara and his aid Mahendra Patel of Jawar Mines were running a sex racket since long and used to get call girls from Ahmedabad and supply them to customers. Jagdish has a murder case registered in his name at Aslali police station, Ahmedabad and Mahendra of theft at Salumber police.

The raid was executed by undercover cop of Goverdhan Vilas police-Akhtar Ali who was sent to the hotel as a bogus customer with Rs. 2000. When Mahendra, standing at the reception directed him to go to the room above, the cop signed his team standing outside who raided the hotel and arrested the accused.

In interrogation, it was found that the girl was from West Bengal who informed that she had reached the hotel with her pimp 4 days back. Both accused were sending her to the customers, police added.

The trio accused was booked under sections 3, 4, 5, 6 of the PITA act and interrogation is still going on about the sex racket ongoing in the city.
