In an unfortunate occurrence, an incident of theft took place in the house all set for wedding. 2 Tola gold items and Rs. 1700 cash were stolen by an unknown thief. The report has been lodged at Pratapnagar police station and investigation is started.

 

In an unfortunate occurrence, an incident of theft took place in the house all set for wedding. 2 Tola gold items and Rs. 1700 cash were stolen by an unknown thief. The report has been lodged at Pratapnagar police station and investigation is started.

The incident occurred in the house of Babulal Sen resident of Singhatwadiyon ka wada at Debari. On the occasion of his niece’s wedding next door his house was full of guests. Of the total of 50-60 guests accommodated in both the houses, two unfortunate women who became victim of theft were Manohari Bai and Pushpa Bai.

According to police, Manohari Bai had kept her 20 grams gold ornaments and Rs. 300 cash under her pillow, while Pushpa Bai made a pillow of her purse containing Rs. 1400 cash. All the guests slept late in the night and that was when some unknown thief committed the crime and took away the ornaments and cash from both the ladies.

The notice of theft was known only in the morning and report was launched in Pratapnagar police station by Babulal. While, the family and guests were involved in wedding ceremonies today, investigation on the matter has already begun, added Sub-inspector Sunil Sharma of Pratapnagar police station.
