Rupees One Lac was stolen from the house of a business man at Mandi ki Naal (under Dhan Mandi Police Station), after thieves broke into his house when the family was out on vacation.

Pankaj s/o Shanti Lal Nagda, who is a spice and chili powder dealer and wholesaler at Dhan Mandi, has been residing on rent at Mahaveer Jain’s house from the last 7 months at Mandi Ki Naal.

He, along with his family had gone to Meera Datar since Tuesday, 31st May. When he returned home today morning with his family, he saw that the lock of the main gate was open. On entering the house, he noticed that the suitcase lock was broken using a holder generally used in the kitchen and the cash kept in a bag within the suitcase was missing. The suit case also contained around 20 tolas (approximately 200 grams) of gold and silver ornaments, which were left untouched, said the police.

Further, according to the police, “The complainant doubts that the theft was done by someone known to his family as the accused had used a duplicate key to the lock of the main gate and also stealing only cash and not the ornaments is really surprising”.

Dinesh Singh, SHO informed, “We got some clues on the basis of which, we have started the investigations and soon we’ll solve the case.
