Cattle Smugglers on run, police rescues 79 Cows
An incidence of cattle smuggling came in light on Wednesday morning during a routine barricading held at Madri Industrial area.
An incidence of cattle smuggling came in light on Wednesday morning during a routine barricading held at Madri Industrial area. The driver and the spotter of on seeing the police fled away leaving the container truck behind in which the cattle was kept.
Out of the 80 cows, one of them died and the rest 79 were shifted to the shelter house. Police informed that they saw a container truck heading towards them from Debari which stopped a few meters away from the barricading.
The suspicious cops moved towards the truck but the driver and the spotter managed to flee away from the scene leaving the truck on the spot. After doing the medical examination of the cows, the remaining 79 were shifted to Shiv Shankar Gow Shala (cow shelter).
The container truck was seized and a case was registered against the driver and spotter, added police.
