A first year B Com student at BN College was arrested yesterday by the Bhupalpura Police on charges of stealing a mobile phone.

Subsequent to a complaint registered by Krishnapal Singh, the brother of the victim, Durgesh Dangi was arrested by the Police. The arrest was made after Police identified Durgesh through a CCTV video footage.

The incident occurred on 9th April when the victim, a girl student was giving her exams and she had left her mobile phone in her bag outside the examination hall. When she came out of the classroom, she discovered that her mobile phone had been stolen, after which she and her family members registered their complaint.

Even after the identification was made, Durgesh was nowhere to be found. Yesterday, he was caught by Krishnapal and handed over to the Police.
