The man who snatched gold chain from an old woman was arrested yesterday by Surajpol Police. The accused had committed the crime on 5^th April in the house at Kishanpol area where the victim woman was staying alone.

The accused was identified as Sanjay Singh alias Sattu. Police had detained him on suspicion and later during interrogation, Sanjay confessed the crime.

On 5^th April, Sattu entered the house of Dakhibai Salvi, 80 and snatched her gold chain.

Police has recovered the stolen gold chain. According to police, the accused Sattu is a habitual criminal and many cases are registered against him in city’s several police stations.
