A 73 year old woman, resident of Bohra Ganeshji was a victim of chain snatching on Sunday night, while she was talking a stroll near her house.  However, the alert lady snatched her chain back from the thief, resulting in a part of the chain breaking off in her hand.

The victim, Mangi Devi Soni (73) was talking her evening walk in her neighborhood and when she entered a dark alley, the thief came in from behind her and tried to snatch the gold chain on the lady’s neck.  The alert lady snatched the chain back and the thief ran away with a portion of the ornament.  However, before the shocked lady could raise an alarm, the thief disappeared, as per the Pratap Nagar Police.

Police further informed that the woman started shouting after the scene due to which a huge number of people gathered at the scene.  Soon the police was informed and a FIR was lodged.

A few suspects have been rounded up by the Police and are being interrogated.
