A 66-year-old woman became the victim of suspected chain snatchers today morning at Hiran Magri.

Pungibai, resident of Rupa ji ki Badi, sector 13 was walking towards her house after visiting a temple. Suddenly two people on a bike came from behind and snatched her 4 tola gold chain and fled away.

Similar incidents occurred in the past months but police has not yet succeeded in catching the culprits who are frequently committing the crime, specifically targeting old age women walking on roadside.

After today’s incident, the terrified victim rushed to her house and informed her son Mangilal Jain. Mangilal immediately informed police and lodged the report.
