An appalling attempt of chain snatching left an elderly couple in shock and fear when they were targeted by two thugs at Devali area last night.

Though, the motorcycle borne thieves couldn’t grab the gold chain from 75-year-old Laldevi Soni but due to the sudden attack, the couple who were on scooty fell and got injured.

The victims Laldevi and her husband Damodar were returning home from an evening walk at Fateh Sagar Lake.

Police has registered a case against two accused and has started the investigation.
