Parents of Bhavya Shah, a dental student from Ahmadabad who was studying in Udaipur and allegedly committed suicide in Feb 2013 approached Chief Minister of Rajasthan and demanded high level investigation over their daughter’s suspicious death.
After CM’s direction, the case is now transferred to Crime Investigation Department (CID). The parents of the deceased student doubted mistreatment of hostel authorities. Parents of the girl also doubt that Bhavya was murdered and hostel administration was responsible for the crime.
According to the statement given by Bhavya’s parents, she was victim of bullying and knew secrets about some girls and the hostel warden. Due to which, her life was under threat. Police officials investigating the case also affirmed that it was a ‘suspicious’ death.
CID officials have called the parents to Udaipur for further investigation of the case.
