Suspected thieves stole readymade clothes worth lacs of rupees from a garment shop situated at Kanpur Madri area.

 The theft came to light yesterday morning and the shop owner Nandu Sindhi lodged a report at Pratap Nagar Police station.

According to police, the thieves locked the house located near the shop so they could commit the crime without encountering any resistance.

In the morning, when the neighbors found themselves locked in their house, they doubted foul play.
