Ambamata police busted a gang of two wheeler lifters and disclosed 7 incidences of 2 wheeler lifting but later during their interrogation, the accused also accepted committing 5 incidences of burglary in various areas of the city.

The accused were identified as Prakash Meena (21), Mukesh Meena (19), Ashish Meena (18) and Narendra Meena (19), students from good families. Moreover the gang leader Prakash is a nursing student.

In the police interrogation, it came out that for a desire to live a luxurious life, the accused indulged into crime and started picking up two-wheelers from different parts of the city. They used to lift up a bike from an area and after the consuming the fuel, leave it at the next spot and lift up another bike from the same area and go on, SP Goyal added.

As per SP the accused had duplicate key for unlocking the motor bikes and two wheelers. Out of 10 bikes being picked up by them, 7 of the stolen bikes are still under their custody. Besides picking the 2 wheelers the accused were also involved in 5 burglary cases of the city from where they stole music systems, LCDs, cameras and mobile phones etc. SP said.

The accused are still under police interrogation and cops are trying to recover the stolen vehicles as well as the other items from the accused.
