The family members of one of the corporators of Udaipur were allegedly beaten by the neighboring couple over a petty issue. A complaint was lodged against the couple for manhandling and misbehaving with the corporator’s mother and brother in her absence.
Chandni Gaur, corporator of ward no 1, UMC and resident of Mullatalai in her police complaint informed that her neighbor couple Kamlesh Gandhi and his wife allegedly manhandled Chandni’s younger brother Sawan and her mother. According to Chandni, the accused allegedly turned violent towards her mother when she asked the wife to come see her in the evening to receive her ration card and Bhamashah application form signed by her daughter.
Seeing her mother being manhandled, Sawan tried to intervene but was allegedly targeted by the duo. The couple fled from the scene before the colony members could rush to rescue the victims, said Chandni.
On the other side, the wife of Kamlesh lodged an FIR at the Ambamata police station that the corporator and the family members misbehaved with her and her husband Kamlesh on Wednesday morning after they went to her house. Also, more than 2 dozen neighbors surrounded the duo, manhandled them and allegedly abused them off their religion. She added that she wants strict action against the corporator, said police.
While talking to the media, corporator Chandni informed that the episode began on Tuesday night when Kamlesh and his wife visited her house to get the ration card and Bhamashah application signed by her. As it was late in the night, Chandni asked the couple to come in the morning but she left for some official work when they came at her house at 10 o’clock. When they were asked to come later in the evening, they allegedly turned violent.
