Court issues arrest warrant against absconding couple
After more than a month since an argument over platform ticket occurred between a couple and a railway official at Udaipur city railway station, Jaipur High Court has issued an arrest warrant against the absconding Rajesh Mehta, a police constable and his wife Maina.
After more than a month since an argument over platform ticket occurred between a couple and a railway official at Udaipur city railway station, Jaipur High Court has issued an arrest warrant against the absconding Rajesh Mehta, a police constable and his wife Maina.
The couple was caught without platform ticket by a railway officer Harphool Singh, followed by heated argument and alleged abuse by both parties. The fight resulted in political interference which led to the arrest of Railway officer.
Later the employee union of Railway Station protested with the support of senior colleagues. The Udaipur Police Department also took stern step against the accused constable Mehta.
At present the couple is at large and the GRP officials are searching them. According to GRP’s C.I Gopaldas Vaishnav, the team is searching them on all possible hideouts.
Vaishnav said, ” A case of disrupting government work is lodged against both husband and wife after they were caught without platform ticket and refused to pay fine. They allegedly manhandled the railway officer Harphool Singh on duty.”
