Crime – Arrested history sheeters confess to 5 additional thefts in Udaipur

Bhupalpura Police in Udaipur nabbed two crooks who have been accused of breaking into a car and stealing Rs 50 thousand in cash, jewellery and mobile phones from the car. The accused, on interrogation confessed to the crime that took place a few days ago.

The thieves, Bhagwati Lal and Lokesh Salvi used to operate mostly in the Pratpanagar, Savina and Goverdhan Vilas Bypass area and then used to abscond to GIngla and Salumber.

Police Statement

Bhupalpura SHO Bhavani Singh Rajawat said that Bhagwati Lal s/o Shankarlal and Lokesh Salvi s/o Ramesh,, both resident of Gingala were arrested in the said matter.  The two are history sheeters with numerous cases registered against them. During interrogation, the accused confessed that they have already committed 5 such incidents in the areas of Pratap Nagar & Surajpol.

In the recent incident, which was reported by Yashpal Singh Shaktawat, the thieves broke his car window mirror and took away cash, jewellery and two mobile phones that were lying in the car. Previously, challans have been presented against them for such criminal cases, which include snatching of mobiles and necklaces of passers-by.
