Daylight Robbery of Rs 2.46 Lakhs at Sevashram

An employee of Sahkari Upbhokta Bhandar at Hiranmagri Sector-4 has been robbed in broad day light at Sevashram Circle today by some unidentified people who took away a bag containing more than Rs. 2 Lakhs. The victim, Prakashchandra Sharma, 50 works as Salesmen-in-Charge with the Sahkari Upbhokta Bhandar at Hiran Magri, Sector 4 and was going on his scooter towards Shastri Circle when a car smashed him near Nehru Hostel, close to Sevashram Circle.

An employee of Sahkari Upbhokta Bhandar at Hiranmagri Sector-4 has been robbed in broad day light at Sevashram Circle today by some unidentified people who took away a bag containing more than Rs. 2 Lakhs.

The victim, Prakashchandra Sharma, 50 works as Salesmen-in-Charge with the Sahkari Upbhokta Bhandar at Hiran Magri, Sector 4 and was going on his scooter towards Shastri Circle when a car smashed him near Nehru Hostel, close to Sevashram Circle.

Right after the collision, two men on a motorbike appeared and snatched away the bag with cash from his scooter while Prakashchandra was lying injured and in a semi-conscious state.

According to the Hiran Magri Police Station, Prakashchandra was going to the Head Office of Sahakari Upbhokta at Shastri Circle to deposit the cash collection of Rs. 2.46 Lakhs which he had kept in the scooter’s front box.

It was around 1:45 in the afternoon today while passing through Nehru Hostel, when a Maruti 800 car coming from the wrong side crashed with Prakashchandra, injuring him on his face, hands and legs. As soon as he fell on the ground, two people on a bike came and took away the cash from the scooter, says one of the investigating officers.

According to Police, one of the suspects was wearing a red t-shirt and black trouser. The Police has launched a massive man hunt and installed barriers on all major entry-exit points of the city.

Prakashchandra, resident of Jairam Colony, Thokar Choraha is being treated for multiple injuries and his condition is said to be out of danger.
