Today afternoon dead body of a man was found in sewage at Durga Nursery Road. Large number of people were gathered around the spot before police was called by some of the locals.

Police team including FSL officials under the direction of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Goverdhanlal Khatik responded to the scene and pulled the body out from sewage.

According to police, the deceased is still unidentified and said to be around 40-year-old. He was wearing a sweater and black pants.

Some passersby noticed some foul smell and when he checked the sewage, he found the body of a man lying upside down.

Police informed, “By examining the condition of the body, it looks like it has been lying in the sewage for last 4-5 days. This points out towards the alleged negligence on the part of sweepers of the area.”
